Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Peru.

Overnight: Lima

Day 2: Lima Coast

Birding along the coast of Lima looking for birds like Inca Tern, Humboldt Penguin, Great Grebe, Peruvian Booby, Red-legged Cormorant, Guanay Cormorant, Blackish Oystercatcher, Peruvian Thick-Knee, Burrowing Owl, Many-colored Rush-Tyrant, Peruvian Meadowlark, Puna Ibis, Vermillion Flycatcher, and Rufous-collared Sparrow.

Overnight: Lima

Day 3: St. Eulalia Valley

Birding along the St. Eulalia Valley in the mountains of Lima looking for birds like:

Great Inca-Finch, Black-necked Woodpecker, Rusty-bellied Brush-Finch, Peruvian Pygmy-Owl, Canyon Canastero, Thick-billed Miner, Greenish Yellow-Finch, Blue-and-yellow Tanager, Golden-bellied Grosbeak, Mourning Sierra-Finch, Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle, Bronze-tailed Comet, Peruvian Sheartail, Giant Hummingbird, and Purple-collared Woodstar.

Day 4: Huacarpay Lake and Ollantaytambo

Fly to Cusco.

Explore Huacarpay Lake and Ollantaytambo looking for birds like: Bearded Mountaineer, Green-tailed Trainbearer, Rusty-fronted Canastero, Spot-winged Pigeon, Puna Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Speckled Teal, Plumbeous Rail, Yellow-winged Blackbird, Andean Flicker, Cinereous Harrier, Golden-billed Saltator, White-tufted Sunbeam, Great Sapphirewing, Creamy-bellied Spinetail, Peruvian Sierra-Finch, and Andean Lapwing.

Transfer to the Aguas Calientes village and visit the ruins of Aguas Calientes looking for birds like: Inca Wren, Masked Fruiteater, Green-and-white Hummingbird, Blue-necked Tanager, Saffron-crowned Tanager, Golden-naped Tanager, Beryl-spangled Tanager, White-eared Solitaire, Speckled-faced Parrot, Torrent Duck, White-capped Dipper, Dusky-capped Oropendola, Highland Motmot, Rust-and-yellow Tanager, and Variable Antshrike

Day 11: Puerto Maldonado & Explorers-Inn lodge

Fly to the Amazon town of Puerto Maldonado. Transfer by boat to the Explorers-Inn lodge looking for Scarlet Macaw, Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Red-and-green Macaw, Blue-headed Parrot, White-eyed Parakeet, Orange-cheeked Parrot, Cobalt-winged Parakeet, Lineated Woodpecker, Little Woodpecker, Rufous-headed Woodpecker, Striolated Puffbird, Chestnut-capped Puffbird, Swallow-wing, Black-fronted Nunbird, White-fronted Nunbird and Gold-and-green Tanager, Blue-crowned Trogon, Black-tailed Trogon, Green-backed Trogon, Bluish-fronted Jacamar and Yellow-rumped Cacique
